If you were to start your fitness journey over 'right now', would you do anything differently? Ifg so, what would it be? How would you approach your programme? Do you even have a programme?

There are a lot of people who still don't seem to have a plan when they "attack" their fitness goals and progressions. You should always have a goal written down, whether it be for the purpose of:

Weight Loss
Weight Gain (building muscle, etc.)
Maintaining Health
Maintaining Current Fitness Levels
Hitting Your Next Personal Best (in whatever field, cardio or lift.)
Improving Technique
Or others (Such as improving power, strength, flexibility, speen, agility, or coordination)

Now granted, this can be down to experience, in part. But, another part to this is having the courage tio go and simply ask someone for guidance. Some people do this, and some people do not. I think this is partly due to the fact that ever since social media came into play, it has inhibited our ability to communicate effectively and with confidence, to people. Think about when they introduced the option where people could choose to 'Like' a post, what did that do? It automatically give you the option to 'Not' comment on peoples' post, thereby creating less communication.

How to combat this is easy, however, DEVELOP the courage to ask for guidance (yes, 'face-to-face') by repeatedly talking to people. Start by simply saying, 'Hello'.

"Attacking" your fitness goals can be done by first, writing them down. Write down on paper three goals you want to achieve by a certain date, for example...

I want to achieve 'X' amount of strength by 3rd Septmember 2023
I want to achieve 'Y' amount of definition in my abdominal area by 10th December
I want to...... (I'll leave this one blank for 'You')

After you've written down your goals, get to work! With the amount of information and access to technology today, you have so many resources, such as access to journals and 'YouTube' videos, etc. than ever before! So use it! And then, 'trial and error' until you have a programme that's "right for you". (Note: changes are necessary in fitness programmes once you reacha certain point, or to avoid becoming disinterested).
